about Mark:
Another night
while brushing her teeth,
Shea & I talked about Mark again.
This time we talked about missing him.
She climbed down from her stool at the sink
and ran into my room
where her brother, Nick was laying on my bed.
She proceeded to ask him if he missed Markie.
His reply was YES, of course.
She came back into
the bathroom and said:
"Mommy, Nicky misses Markie,
do you?"
I replied, "Yes, we all miss him! Do you?"
She answered,
"Yes, we used to eat popcicles together!"
Wow, I had completely forgotten about that!!
In the summertime,
Mark used to grab a popcicle
out of
Grandmom's freezer.
They were the double ones
with 2 sticks.
He would always break it in half
and
share it with Shea!!
Everytime!!!
How lucky she is to have this awesome memory with him!!
Now everytime she eats one of those popcicles
she'll always
--as well as us--
remember Markie with a
smile :)
